The Chartwell Cancer Trust was always close to David's heart after the care his wife Pam received when she was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2008.
David was part of the Kentones and the Barbershop regularly sang in The Glades Shopping Centre in Bromley at Christmas time, to raise funds for the Trust.
He wanted donations to the Trust rather than flowers at his funeral.
